Robot beings meets the world collective project.
The Robot beings meets the World can be preformed by anyone and or any collective of musicians.
On Sep 9, 2011: I started my idea for The Philly Robot Experiment. The idea first started because of my friend Marcus and his website www.wftmusic.org. https://www.facebook.com/groups/394273241137/ ,which was based in Japan.
I wrote a free piece of music for the WTF community (Japan) and it is called Robot beings meet the World. The RBMTW piece is a story with written suggestions to perform in each section.
For example, in the beginning of the piece the performers are to make up sounds of robot ships taking off into space etc. As the performer moves through the music the simple robot story continues...
As I met more artist from the WFT community (Jerry Gordon: Salads in Space) they began to send me live music to improvise along too.
So... I decided to do a whole CD to document this type of interaction with my friends in Japan (who are originally from Philly), and some local musicians from Philly.
The Turtle Sessions were recorded at Turtle Studio in 11/2011.
The two sessions were filmed by Tom Diggs and crew. I did my best to edit the two day footage myself, which can be seen on this page. TC Jr. 7/21/2016
