The Burndown All-Stars are a Philadelphia based live hip-hop collective featuring some of the city’s
finest musicians and emcees. Originally a studio project, BurnDown formed the All-Stars in 2005 to
spread the word. The band’s live performances – blending musicianship, showmanship, and lyrical
virtuosity – quickly became the jewel of the BurnDown crown and, in 2007, Billboard Magazine named
the BurnDown All-Stars the best independent band in the Northeast. The band was then chosen to
represent Philadelphia in the nationwide Bodog Music Battle of the Bands, a touring reality show that
aired on the Fuse Network.
Over the years, the band has been honored to share the stage with the likes of The Roots, Common,
Steel Pulse, and SOJA. Ropeadope Records released the BurnDown All-Stars’ “Wake Up” in 2007. Emcees
Rok Bottom, Carlito Attack, Lord Biz, JawnZap7, Kuf Knots, Syne and RAS Arcane are featured
performers. The band consists of Dave Quicks on guitar and vocals, Tom Walling on drums, Rico Joseph
on bass, and Tom Copson Jr. on lead guitar.
